Visit Ganga Nuur in Sukhbaatar aimag to watch thousands of migrating swans. 

Ganga Nuur – is a fresh water lake 11 kilometres southeast of the center of Dariganga soum, at the northeast edge of the sand dune belt of Moltsog Els of Sukhbaatar province. The lake covers 4 square kilometres and is part of a site enjoying State protection embracing 288 square kilometres including not only the Ganga Lake but also the sand dunes of Moltsog Els, Lake Kholboo, Uizen and Sumt. Lake Ganga and its surrounding wetlands are listed in Ramsar sites. Ganga Lake and associated lakes in surrounding in eastern Mongolia within a unique landscape combining wetlands, steppe and sand dunes. The lake district is based in the wind-scoured lowlands of extinct volcanoes and known as Dariganga. It is of great importance for breeding and stop-over water birds such as White-napped Crane (Grus vipio), Swan goose (Anser cygnoides), and Great Bustard (Otis tarda) all vulnerable and endangered in the IUCN Red Book.
